New version of Eriadne presents some new features:
- Supporting more mobile phones: so far Eriadne was supported mainly by Nokia models, with this new version Eriadne connects directly Bluetooth GPS devices. If your phone does not give the expected results please write a comment on this post including your model and we'll find solution.
- Destination path: it's possible to set target coordinates in CH1903 (maps Swiss) or WGS84 and on the screen will display a green arrow indicating the direction of the destination (compared to the sense of march) and the remaining distance.
- GEOCaching: You can send your position with an SMS directly to another person who has Eriadne, the other person will be able to set it as the destination and reach you with ease.
- Geomagnetic compass: If your GPS device has the geomagnetic compass sensor on the screen will display the north permanently and continuously, even in the absence of the GPS signal.
